There are numerous legends that I could have picked
but personally these three are my favorite. Click the guitars above to hear their music.
Elvis~ The King of Rock and Roll ~
The first guy, I gave my heart to when I saw him in the movies.
Living in the UK, we were never privileged to see him in person but oh what a
legacy he left behind.
I love all his music. I think American Trilogy is the one that we all
identify with him.
Without Elvis, I doubt there would be the Beatles as all that came after we were
all influenced by Elvis.
John Lennon was my favorite of the Beatles. All my friends loved Paul, but no John was
the one I was going to marry. Sorry Elvis but he stole my heart from you.
I got to see the Beatles when I was 15 years old and I had to walk six miles
in thick pea soup fog.
My parents were not impressed but nothing was stopping me from seeing my
John. Talk about screaming girls but not me I was to mesmerized. I just sat with my
mouth open and he was singing just to me. Mr Moonlight was sung just for me
or so I thought. And it is still a favorite of mine.
I love his Imagine as I think it's the best song off all time, but Mr.
Moonlight holds special memories for me...
I remember when he was murdered. How I cried~ How could anyone want to kill this
man of peace. I was devastated but his music continues to live on.
Roy Orbison, Wow the voice of an angel. I was lucky enough to see him in Glasgow where he
got eight standing ovations for Running Scared. I was able to see Roy four more
times in Australia and each time he always got a standing ovations. So many of his songs I love but Running
Scared
would have to be my favorite.
One song that is truly special to me would be P.S. I love you by the Beatles as
My Husband since the day we met has always signed any cards he has given me with
this Beatle song.
