Be yourself, the best become the best by being themselves,
so relax ... and be yourself.
Guru Maharaji
Power said to the world "You are mine." The world kept it
prisoner on her throne. Love said to the world "I am thine." The world
gave it the freedom of her house.
Rabindranath Tagore
My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the
more I give to thee The more I have, for both are infinite.
William Shakespeare
Take time to think ... It is the source of power. Take
time to play ... It is the secret of perpetual youth. Take time to laugh
... It is the music of the soul. Take time to pray ... It is the
greatest power on earth.

Take time to gather up the
past so that you will be able to draw from your experiences and invest them
in the future. Don't let the learning from your own experiences take too
long.
If you have been doing it
wrong for the last ten years,
I suggest that's long
enough! Life is not just the passing of time. Life is the collection of
experiences and their intensity.
It's easy to carry the past as a burden
instead of a school.
It's easy to let it
overwhelm you instead of educate you. Be like a sponge when it comes to each
new experience.
If you want to be able to
express it well,
you must first be able to
absorb it well. ~Jim Rohn~

Judge Gently
Pray, don't find fault with the man
that limps
Or stumbles along the road.
Unless you have worn the shoes he wears
Or struggled beneath his load
There may be tacks in his shoes that hurt
Though hidden away from view
Or the burden he bears placed on your back
Might cause you to stumble too
Don't sneer at the man who's down today
Unless you have felt the blow
That caused his fall or felt the shame
That only the fallen know
You may be strong but still the blows
That was his if dealt to you
In the selfsame way, at the selfsame time
Might cause you to stagger too
Don't be too harsh with the man that sins
Or pelt him with word or stone
Unless you are sure - yea, doubly sure -
That you have no sins of your own
For you know, perhaps,
If the tempter's voice should whisper as soft to you
As it did to him when he went astray
It might cause you to falter too

Never sell yourself short
You are alive with possibilities,
Remember
As you go through today
That you are more
Than just a number
Or a name
In someone's computer,
More than
Just a dispensable part
Of a greater mystery.
You are completely unique
In all of our earths history.
You can think and reason.
Make intelligent decisions.
You can create, explore.
You can seek the truth...
And
So much more...
Find joy
In the things around you.
Give your love
And
Compassion to all.
See the beauty
In all of life,
Whether it be great or small.
You can change the things
That frustrate
You can make a difference
In your life...
For as long as you are alive...
You are blessed
With possibilities...
There is more to you
Than anyone could possibly imagine
In all that you do...
Let that shine through!
If a dog was the teacher you
would learn stuff like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure
ecstasy.
When it's in your best interest, practice obedience
Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
Take naps.
Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and
pout... run right back and make friends.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
Be Loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day,
Be silent, Sit close by and Nuzzle them
gently.
Do More
Do more than exist;
LIVE.
Do more than touch;
FEEL.
Do more than look;
OBSERVE.
Do more than read;
ABSORB.
Do more than hear;
LISTEN.
Do more than listen;
UNDERSTAND.
Do more than think;
PONDER.
Do more than talk;
SAY SOMETHING.

"When you ask God for a gift,
Be thankful if he sends,
Not diamonds, pearls or riches,
but the love of real true friends."

The Heart
The heart is a garden where thought flowers grow
The thoughts that we think are seeds that we sow.
Each kind, loving thought bears a kind, loving deed
While the thought that is selfish is just like a weed.
We must watch what we think each moment, all day
And pull out the weed thoughts and throw them away.
And plant-loving seed thoughts so thick in a row
There will not be room for weed thoughts to grow.

The Strength of a Man
The strength of a man isn't
seen in the width of his shoulders.
Its seen in the width of his
arms that circle you.
The strength of a man isn't in the deep tone of his
voice.
It is in the gentle words he whispers.
The strength of a man isn't how many buddies he has.
Its how good a buddy he is with his kids.
The strength of a man isn't in how respected he is at
work.
Its in how respected he is at home.
The strength of a man isn't in how hard he Hits.
Its in how tender he touches.
The strength of a man isn't in the hair on his chest.
Its in his Heart...that lies within his chest.
The strength of a man isn't how many women he's Loved.
Its in can he be true to one woman.
The strength of a man isn't in the weight he can lift.
It is in the burdens he can carry.

IT TAKES COURAGE
It takes courage
To refrain from gossip
When others delight in it,
To stand up for the absent person
Who is being abused.
It takes courage
To live honestly
Within your means,
And not dishonestly
On the means of others.
It takes courage
To be a REAL man or a TRUE woman,
To hold fast to your ideals
When it causes you
To be looked upon
As strange and peculiar.
It takes courage
To be talked about,
And remain silent,
When a word would justify you
In the eyes of others,
But which you dare not speak
Because it would injure another.
It takes courage
To refuse to do something
That is wrong
Although everyone else
May be doing it
With attitudes as carefree
As a summer song.
It takes courage
To live according
To your own convictions,
To deny yourself
What you cannot afford.
To love your neighbour
As yourself!

Respond With Peace
Whatever things may come your way today, make it a point to let your first
response a peaceful one. There is power in peaceful calmness, the power to
follow your own plans and purposes.
That gets lost when you react
out of anger.
It takes determined intention and effort to respond
peacefully. The power
and control it gives you are well worth the effort. Certainly you want to
look out for your own interests. Yet just because you are firmly determined
is no reason to be angry and out of control. The greatest power is almost
always in a peaceful, measured response.
Do you really want to let someone else dictate your level of stress and
anxiety? Do you really want to let others control your own actions? Respond
calmly and peacefully. Maintain your composure. Maintain your control. Let
your first response be peaceful, and you'll make it much more effective.

Journey Onward Softly
Life holds so many cross roads,
choices we must make.....
It's all part of a plan,
and each one can relate.
We learn as we go forward.....
or sometimes a step back,
the lessons we must grasp...
seeking knowledge that we lack.
Inner strength I wish for you
to withstand all life's trials....
may peace be a companion,
as you travel each new mile.
Use the choices that you make
to serve your purpose here.....
may all life's special moments
require your presence there.
Journey onward softly,
walk your path so true....
just stop to see the beauty
that drifts by as you pass through.

If you don't keep walking
you will never get where your
going.
Don't wait for someone to stop and carry you,
you may weigh them
down and you both could fall.
When you think the walk is too steep,
press on,
for there is no mountain that can't be climbed.
When you
see someone fall along the way, lend your hand. If someone lends you a hand,
reach for it,
to help you get back up again.
Hand in hand, together-
each one helping the other can make this journey as precious as the place
that we are all striving for.

Butterfly in My
Heart
A bright illusive butterfly flutters daily by my
sight; I do not want to capture her nor hinder her in flight.
The graceful gliding of her wings is sweet poetry in motion;
Do I dare reach out to touch her would it cause too much
commotion? The flowers she has known before came from another
garden to receive her brush of pollen I must surely beg a
pardon. Don't fly away but stay awhile before you must depart
sweet butterfly you've found a place in the garden of my
heart.

Humbert, Jr.
Remember
Remember me
when I am gone away, Gone far away into the silent land When you can no
more hold me by the hand, Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay. Remember
me when no more day by day You tell me of our future that you
planned: Only remember me; you understand It will be late to counsel then
or pray. Yet if you should forget me for a while And afterwards remember,
do not grieve: For if the darkness and corruption leave A vestige of the
thoughts that once I had, Better by far you should forget and smile Than
that you should remember and be sad.

THOUGHTLESSNESS
A little bit of hatred,
Can spoil a score of years
And blur the eyes that ought to smile,
With many needless tears. A
little bit of thoughtlessness,
And anger for a day,
Can rob a home of all its joys
And drive delight away.
A
little bit of shouting,
In a sharp and vicious tone,
Can leave a sting that will be felt,
When many years have flown. And
just one hasty minute
Of ill temper can offend,
And leave an inner injury
That years may never mend A
little bit of hatred,
Robs a home of all delight,
And leaves a winding tail of wrong
That time may never right. For
only those are happy,
And Keep their peace of mind,
Who guard themselves from hatreds,
And words that are unkind.
